The country’s shared survey · once a quarter

Your question — to the whole country. Every quarter

Add your questions to a shared survey of adults in Uzbekistan. Get results without commissioning a separate study. Waves are planned quarterly.

Useful for a few questions to a broad audience. For a narrow segment or a detailed questionnaire, choose a dedicated Sonar study.

How it works

First we agree the question and an available wave, then run the survey and deliver the results. Booking and reporting dates are confirmed when ordering.

1

You send your question

Before bookings close for the quarter. We check the wording and translate it into Uzbek and Russian — we name the exact deadline when you book.

2

We survey the country

A wave covers adults 18+ from all regions of Uzbekistan. We control the mix by gender, age and residence; the wave size is stated when you order, and online collection limitations are explained in the methodology.

3

You get the answer

Receive results for your questions and comparisons of available groups, such as gender, age or region. Small groups do not support firm conclusions. Results for your questions are available to your team.

The wave questionnaire — and where your question goes

Below is the shared-wave structure and space for company questions. The seed wave has no client slots; the commercial questionnaire and booking become available when a wave opens.

Who is answering

13 questions about who is answering — eleven of them become cuts for YOUR question

Sample questions
  • Gender, age, region, urban or rural
  • Education and what you do
  • Household size and whether there are children
  • How much money the family receives per month
  • Which language you speak at home
  • Whether the family receives money from relatives working abroad

Consumer confidence index

Consumer-confidence questions are based on the European Commission methodology. Cross-country comparisons must account for differences in sampling and collection.

Sample questions
  • How has your family’s financial situation changed over the past 12 months?
  • How will it change over the next 12 months?
  • How will Uzbekistan’s economic situation change?
  • How do you plan to spend on major purchases?
  • How will prices change?

What worries the country

One question — and we publish the answer to it openly, every wave

Sample questions
  • Which three topics worry you most today?

What people use and buy

The same questions in every wave — that is where market dynamics come from

Sample questions
  • Which bank you consider your main one and which app you pay with
  • Where you usually buy groceries and whether you ordered online
  • Which mobile operator is your main one
  • Which social networks and messengers you used yesterday
  • Whether you manage to save and whether you have a loan or instalments

The topic of the quarter

Four topics in rotation: telecom → banks and payments → groceries → major purchases. Each returns exactly a year later, so it can be compared with the previous time

Sample questions
  • Rate the mobile internet quality where you live
  • Are you planning to change operator in the next 12 months?
  • How much you spend on mobile per month

Your question

This is where your question goes. Only you see the answers to it

Ask about the next wave

A free answer at the end

One open question — people write in their own words

Sample questions
  • What worries your family most financially today?

These are examples of shared questions. The full questionnaire is agreed when ordering. Repeated questions help track change when the method and audience are comparable.

Guarantees

What we guarantee

Transparent results

Pulse reports show respondent counts and margins of error.

Guarantee terms

In every Pulse report a figure comes with the number of respondents and its margin of error; the index follows the European Commission methodology.

The same calculation as in the workspace: one set of maths for report and screen, a margin for every cut.

Echo → Sonar

Echo’s cost is credited towards a live survey within 60 days.

Guarantee terms

If you run a live Sonar survey after Echo, the full cost of the calculation is credited towards it — within 60 days.

Where Echo is weak, we flag it ourselves — before payment, with a “verify live” chip on each question.

Verifiable interviews

In-person interviews are recorded. No recording, no charge.

Guarantee terms

Every in-person interview comes with an audio recording and a quality passport. An interview without a recording is not counted and not billed.

Interview quality is checked before inclusion in the research results.

What it costs

One price — for your question in a wave. More questions in the same wave means each next one is cheaper.

4.5M UZS
for your question in a wave
  • ·Responses nationwide, broken down by gender, age, region and urban/rural
  • ·A data export and results in the workspace — only you see them
  • ·The second and third question in the same wave — 3.8M each, from the fourth — 3.2M
  • ·Translation into Uzbek and Russian and a wording check — included
Ask about the next wave

Client questions are accepted in announced waves after the baseline survey. We confirm availability, dates and price before ordering.

What else is worth knowing

Rules, methodology and help with wording — open what you need.

The rules: what you may ask
  • Up to 30 client questions per wave and up to 10 per client — queue by payment date.
  • Formats: closed question, scale, NPS. An open question counts as two.
  • Not accepted: politics, religion, ethnicity, sensitive personal data, attacks on competitors.
  • There is a subscription to the shared wave report and a discounted annual package — write to us and we will quote it.
How to write a good question — and check it
  • One question — one thing. “Do you like the taste and the packaging?” is two questions.
  • Do not hint at the answer: not “Do you agree X is the best?” but “How do you feel about X?”.
  • A balanced scale — from “fully satisfied” to “not satisfied at all”, plus “hard to say”.
  • A concrete period: “in the past 30 days”, not “usually”.
  • Plain words: a nationwide sample 18+ is answering, not your colleagues.
Weak: “Do you agree our new yoghurt is tastier and healthier than others?”
Strong: “Have you bought yoghurt in the past 30 days? Which brands?”

Methodology and disclosure (WAPOR / ESOMAR)

The survey is run and funded by Xplorence (Tashkent) as its own product. Clients buy their own questions but do not influence the methodology or the wave’s shared questions. The exact wording of published questions and the fieldwork dates are released with every wave.

Whom we surveyUzbekistan’s population 18+, all 14 regions, urban and rural; the number of valid responses per wave is stated when you order
How we build the mixquotas gender × age × region × urban/rural per National Statistics Committee data; deviations are corrected by re-weighting
How we collectonline: invitations to the Sonar panel on the web and in Telegram. A wave opens only once we have confirmed how the sample will be collected
How oftenplanned quarterly; dates are confirmed for each wave
Margin of errorThe margin of error is calculated from the actual number of respondents and shown next to every figure — the same in the report and in the workspace. This is not the total error of the online survey: recruitment bias and weighting are not included.
Survey languagesUzbek and Russian
Limitationsonline collection under-represents people who do not use the internet and older age groups. Quotas and re-weighting align the structure, but an online method cannot fully remove this bias. We do not publish figures for small subgroups
Full self-disclosure per the ESOMAR “37 Questions” standard: sonar.xplorence.uz/esomar
